“Why don’t people know you exist?” – Peter Jennings.
Hair loss is of great significance to men, that is why Edward Katz was chosen from ABC to help Peter Jennings.
When Peter Jennings was diagnosed with cancer and he
had to undergo chemotherapy, his biggest concern was to lose his hair, as stated on the last TV appearance on ABC World News Tonight.
That is why he chose Edward Katz to take care of him, for his hair replacement needs, so he could eventually return to TV to anchor the ABC World News Tonight.
“Peter Jennings showed surprise, interest, concern for our work. And was quoted, “Why don’t people know you exist?” That is when Ed tried to explain to Peter the fear, embarrassment and the fact, that TV Shows will talk about women’s wigs and hair extensions as it is, considered to be a cosmetic improvement and ok…. If you are a man seeking best hair replacement it is made fun of and not respected, because of Hair Club and the fact that 99% of hair replacement is made in China or Indonesia. He even went on, to state to Peter, Why is Diane Sawyer and Oprah not wanting to see proper hair replacement available for men? Peter replied, “I do not know, but now I know the significance and importance to me.”

L.A. Times Article with Hillary Rodham Clinton.
“No matter what people think, style is a part of the campaign.” Like it or not, in today’s celebrity-dominated media climate, style can and often does trump substance. In her book, Postrel quotes a 2001 graduation address Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.) gave at Yale: “The most important thing I have to say to you today is that hair matters,” the former first lady said. “This is a life lesson my family did not teach me, Wellesley and Yale failed to instill in me: the importance of your hair. Your hair will send very important messages to those around you. It will tell people who you are and what you stand for. What hopes and dreams you have for the world.”
